Summary
Amelia Connolly, 23, born male in England, styles herself “Lady Amelia of Scotland”. Connolly was due to be sentenced at Falkirk Sheriff Court today where she was referred to as female in court.

The sex offender wore a pastel pink jacket for the remote hearing, where sentence was deferred for reports.

Connolly had pleaded guilty in April to downloading sexual AI imagery featuring a female child’s face on an adult body.

The court heard that Connolly was being held in Low Moss Prison, Bishopbriggs, pending another case in May.

The Scottish Prison Service states Low Moss “manages male prisoners on remand”. Connolly, who lives in Alloa, was remanded there earlier this week.

Connolly had appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday [April 30th] and pleaded not guilty to a summary charge of failing to make their mobile phones available for inspection by police, so breaching a bail condition.

In a further twist, solicitor Natasha Martin told the Falkirk court that Connolly now denied the central charge and was seeking permission to withdraw the earlier guilty plea.

Ms Martin said: “Miss Connolly says she was sent these images by online trolls.”

Sheriff Christopher Shead said background reports had assessed Connolly as unsuitable to carry out unpaid work.

An unpaid work order can be imposed by a court as an alternative to custody. He further deferred sentence until May 29 for investigations.

The defence motion to allow the withdrawal of Connolly’s AI sexual images guilty plea was also continued until that date.

Connolly was arrested after police with a search warrant raided an Alloa home at 8.50 am on December 5th, 2024.

Connolly handed over a phone which was examined and four indecent images recovered.

Prosecutor Ronnie Hay said: “The images all appeared artificial-intelligence generated, and showed a female child’s face on an adult body engaged in sexualised posing.”

Some of the imagery also showed the AI child/adult engaged in sexual activity. The creation dates of all the images was October 30th 2024.

Three of the images were rated as “Category B” – the middle rating on the accepted scale of seriousness for child porn – and one was rated Category C. Connolly was arrested a fortnight later.

Connolly claims on their facebook page they are “Autistic, Lesbian [and] passionate for Scotland leaving the UK and rejoining the EU.”

Connolly also has a personal website which mentions her involvement with Young Scots for Independence – the youth wing of the SNP – as well as Stirling Pride and the Scottish branch of the Young European Movement.
